Description

Frenchtown & West Communities:  Caring for 4 Homes

Please meet at Outdoorsmen Church @ 10:15 AM, following the Serve406 Kick-Off Event @ the Missoula Fairgrounds Outdoor Ice-Rink.  We'd recommend arriving to the Fairgrounds between 8:30-8:45 am to check-in and get your T-shirt, coffee & a donut.

On this project you will be demonstrating God's love with four different projects in the Frenchtown and West Communities.  These are all projects coordinated by Outdoorsmen Church and The Way Outside. Projects include: cutting and stacking firewood for a resident, replacing tin, building a wood rack, building stairs off of a porch and adding railings, cleaning up trash on a property.

Bring a chainsaw if you have one and any tools related to this type of work. Reach out to Peter or Stephen if you have questions about specific tools needed.  We will divide into teams for the four projects at Outdoorsmen @ 10:15 AM, this Saturday, May 2.  See further details of the day below....

Your Assignment: Project #508

We are so excited to share with you where you have been placed to serve! We’ve done our best to place you on a project taking your preferences into consideration or where we really need you!

All projects have a designated Project # and a Project Leader, noted above.

Serve406 is about serving, but it's also about uniting churches. We'll start the day off at the Missoula Fairgrounds Outdoor Ice-Rink with a short time of worship & prayer. If you have a Serve406 t-shirt from last year, feel free to wear that or grab a new shirt at the check-in table.

What to wear/bring:  If necessary, your Project Leader will be contacting you if there are work related tools that you will need to bring. We always recommend wearing appropriate clothes related to your project description (you will receive a new Serve406 T-shirt at check in or wear yours from last year), bringing work gloves, snacks and/or a sack lunch, drinking water, and any other items you think you might need for your specific site given the project description. It’s a good idea to label any tools that you decide to bring.

The mission of this event is to unite churches to serve the community. Our hope is that we get to visibly demonstrate the love of God by meeting physical needs throughout our communities while also creating the opportunity to meet & serve with Christ Followers from other church communities.

For Greater Missoula, we are sorting over 800 participants into over 80 projects from Nine-Mile to Lolo to Clinton. Thank you for being flexible and having a servant’s heart wherever you have been placed!  Serve406 Bitterroot will also be taking place at the same time.

Your team and the people/project you will be serving are depending on your presence on May 2. If for some reason you are no longer able to attend or if your group size has changed, please notify your project leader so that we can do our best to fill your valuable spot on the team.
